plastic pelletizing line

Plastic Pelletizing Line Sourcing is an independent sourcing partner for US plants that need a plastic pelletizing line matched to a written scrap specification, not a recycling-plant family name. Share polymer, feed form, moisture, contamination, required pellet kg/h with test conditions, filtration and degassing stages, quantity and destination so we can request comparable factory wholesale quotes. This office does not manufacture pelletizers, hold warehouse stock, or sell under a brand-appointed reseller title. A nameplate kg/h figure is not a comparable output until melt-flow, bulk density, screen mesh and cutter type sit inside the same RFQ.

Trial sequence

  1. Representative sample

Name polymer, flake or film size, bulk density, moisture, paper or metal contamination, and whether the lot is clean production trim or washed post-consumer PE. A shop trial on dry virgin pellets is not the same as a run on wet film unless that substitution is written into the protocol. Record the batch identity so later quotations refer to the same feed.

  2. Demonstration

State whether the factory demonstrates feeding, melt filtration, venting, die flow and pellet cooling on the purchased serial, and whether the buyer witnesses screen-change interruptions. Plastic Pelletizing Line Sourcing coordinates the written sequence; it does not operate the extruder.

  3. Acceptance record

Keep feed-lot identity, screen mesh, vacuum reading if degassing is quoted, pellet moisture and visual defects with the serial. Website ISO wording is not a record for that unit. Pass criteria remain contract items. See the scrap-specification note before ranking first replies.

Duty and operating envelope

Factories cannot price a plastic pelletizing line from a kg/h headline. The envelope is the material entering the extruder, the pellet output that must be held at a named screen and cutter condition, and the hours the line is expected to run between screen changes. This desk only restates those buyer inputs; it does not set a contractual throughput.

Material entering the machine
Name PE, PP or another polymer; flake, film, regrind or mixed scrap; moisture; labels, paper or metal; and whether washing already happened. Unknown composition should be marked unknown rather than filled with a catalog PE example.
Required output
State kg/h at the required pellet quality, not only a maximum screw speed. Throughput without melt-flow, moisture and filtration grade is a nominal speed, not a validated output. This is the same dispute as treating a brochure rate as a witnessed result.
Duty cycle
Give hours per shift, days per week, expected screen-change frequency, and whether the line must switch polymers in the same day. A line sized only for dry regrind can starve or surge on wet film even if the nameplate kg/h looks similar.

Two RFQ routes for a plastic pelletizing line

Defined specification

Use this route when polymer, feed form, moisture, contamination, pellet kg/h, filtration mesh, degassing vents, cutter type and destination ZIP are already written. Factories can then price one machine boundary instead of inventing a recycling-plant package. Open the inquiry form with those fields rather than a catalog family name.

Selection still open

Use this route when strand, water-ring and underwater cutters are still under comparison, or when washing and pelletizing might be quoted as one plant. List the open choices and what evidence would close them. Review how we align factory answers on the sourcing steps before treating the first reply as a shortlist.

Questions that bound a plastic pelletizing line RFQ

Which procurement scope is covered by plastic pelletizing line?
Material entering the machine
The quote covers converting a named feed into pellets. It does not automatically include washing, metal detection or silo storage unless those units are listed.
Required output
Accepted pellets per hour at the stated screen and cutter, together with rejected material and filter waste, belong in the comparison. A reference table from a published model is not a contractual result for your scrap.
Duty cycle
Screen-change interruptions and polymer changeover waste change the usable hours. Ask each bidder to state those interruptions for the actual material, not for a dry demonstration polymer.
What feed form, moisture and contamination define the output quotation?

Output kg/h moves with flake size, film bulk density, residual moisture and contamination that the screen must catch. EREMA’s published INTAREMA technical table qualifies throughput by material properties, machine configuration and feeding logistics; those figures are a reference, not a sourcing-service performance promise. Write the feed you will ship to a trial, then ask which filtration and venting stages are inside the quoted extruder. More on pellet-quality tests.
